The Aussiedoodle is a 50/50 mix of a purebred Australian Shepard and a purebred Poodle. This combination is called the F1 Aussiedoodle (or a first generation cross). Just like the Bernedoodle, It is believed that these puppies grow up to be much healthier than both of their parent breeds and that they display the most desirable mix of traits from both. F1b puppies are most likely to be low shedders and as a result, they’re the best match for owners who suffer from allergies.
What size is an Aussiedoodle?
As with other doodles, the size of an Aussiedoodle is determined by its parents. For instance, Toy Aussiedoodles can weigh less than 15 pounds. Medium sized Aussiedoodles vary widely from 20 to 45 pounds. Furthermore, a standard Aussiedoodle can weigh over 45 pounds.
